Unfortunately, after a few months use the soft close option has failed to work. Is there anyway that an adjustment can be made so the lid doesn't slam shut? Otherwise, I love the shape and especially the height.

I bought an American Standard toilet for our master bath. It's a nice design, very efficient with features I like, so I decided to buy the Towne Square. It's been a real disappointment. The flush efficiency is poor and the toilet seat comes loose and moves around when you sit on it. I thought I'd just replace the seat, but the design doesn't allow for that. The screws to remove the lid aren't accessible! I'll be replacing it with a different model and it's only about a year old.

Two years ago we refreshed the entire front bathroom. One of the elements was the American Standard Town Square FloWise Right Height Elongated 1.28 gpf Toilet. The plumber was not used to the different installation process and took an extra hour to get it right. No extra charge from the plumber, but good to know. The low flow toilet requires a learning curve on "How to Flush for Acceptable Results." It can be done but only with thoughtfulness. Somewhat disappointing for the premium priced toilet.

This caught my eye right away. the angles and lines are really beautiful and comfortable.

I love everything about this toilet, except for the fact that the included toilet seat/lid just broke after only 2 years. Split right down the middle of the lid. FYI: "10 year warranty on entire toilet" does not cover the seat (only 1 year)...Plumber's complaint about installing this toilet was how short the water line needed to be due to the hidden trap (since the piping was already in place). But any toilet with this feature would have given him some difficulty.
