I’m 75 so this thing is a bit hard for me. I didn’t realize the compartment for clean water and used water were in the back. It’s heavy to turn around for me and lifting the water is difficult. You must wash the whole thing every week. My sink is high, newer apt, I’m 4 11” and that’s lifting at chest level. I think for younger folks it’d be great but when it’s done cleaning the water there is about a days worth for me. Otherwise for what it is it’s great! It does take up one counter at my apt. I had planned to put it under the cabinet but can’t turn it around under there so it’s on the countertop sideways. The

I used this filter at a rental house in an older Chicago community that had lead pipes. The system produces great tasting water. I also used their mineral drops occasionally. The duration between filter replacement was a reasonable amount of time. I had it in the kitchen on a very stable table. About once every 2 months I would not get it seated correctly and the filtered water would leak out, so I kept a plastic liner with a towel on top of it underneath the AquaTru filter. We moved to a country house with well water and a filtering system under the kitchen sink. Therefore, I used the Aquafilter in the basement for drinking water. I had it on a less stable table and the leaking problem was happening more frequently and I was not in the basement to see it and stop it. I really don't think it was the table, but that I could not get it seated correctly as easily as when it was new. Also, we weren't using it often enough and it has to be cleaned weekly. (Although, I cleaned it every 10-14 days and never had an algae problem.) I felt the cleaning of the unit was too time-consuming for the amount of time we were using it in the basement. And I stopped using it. This is a good filter if you keep it in your sight for about the first 30 minutes after the filtering process starts so you can detect a leak quickly. The frequent cleaning is a bit of a hassle. (Maybe I was too thorough with the cleaning?)
