The base arrived with a chip but I found another solution. Overall the installation process was done by me with average difficulty. Saying that the panels are heavy would be an understatement. It’s been 2 months and no leaks or breakages or shattering so far ( fingers crossed). Time will tell.

Beautiful and well made. Base is very sturdy and the glass and metal parts look sturdy. We haven't installed it yet, so cannot talk of ease of install.
