This is a beautiful product as others mentioned it's wider than it appears and the center silver color is where you notice it. I have not been able to inspect the back where the wires attach so I can't speak for that

This doorbell was bought to replace a very old one that broke. It lights up nice at night to make it easy to see. The style was just what I was looking for as it wasn’t too wide and it fits nice in the space where I wanted it. I hired an electrician to hook it up so I can’t say how easy it easy it was to install but the electrician said it was a nice model. If you need a new doorbell and want something that looks high end - I recommend this.
