Cuiseur à poulet Dabo

Very cute, it is smaller than I expected but actually it is the perfect size for my stove. The water never boiled to produce steam but I’ve never done this before so I will try again.

I thought this would be a cool addition to our family room (we have chickens!). It is really too small to be effective in adding humidity to the room and it is not enameled or well painted and immediately began to rust and form crusty deposits on the top where the lid sits on the base. Not a good look, would not recommend.

This chicken needs to be 3 or 4 times the size.. constantly having to add water.

This item left a permanent ring on our new wood burning oven, and it's small 1-qt capacity is constantly needing to be refilled. It therefore rarely gets refilled. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have purchased a 3-qt.
