Looks like brass or brass finish in the photo, however it is a chrome finish.

Works perfectly. Pretty much shuts off the water when the tab is down (only a few drips). The full heads pops down to turn into a spray as well, which is just an added bonus to me! I just wish it came in a dark bronze color. (Hey Wayfair, I'll buy another one if you make it in a dark bronze!)
