The grain design is much more pronounced in person than in the picture. Based on the picture, I thought it would be more subtle. I also don't like how the grain color is dark brown. If I could, I would return it but we don't have time to order a new one. I also don't know if I would be charged a return shipping fee (which probably would be expensive).

Beautiful subtle pattern! A warm grey tone that matches my orange hardwood nicely. Be careful though - its easily chipped.
