Brinks Electronic Keypad Deadbolt Lock

this is amazing to intall and not have to worry about battery life. the box it came in had all the directions that was easy to install. I love the color and the fact you can set your pin. the lifetime warranty is the main reason i would tell someone to get this. welcome to the modern age w a modern look.

This keypad deadbolt is sleek and durable. It's simple to install and definitely an upgrade for any point of entry. This was provided to me for my honest feedback.

I've been using a Brinks solar powered deadbolt lock on my backdoor for a couple of years now. Having a keypad has been so convenient. I don't have to carry my keys when I walk my dog, and I can give people a pin number to get into my house when I'm not home. I wanted the same solar deadbolt on my front door. The problem is that the front door is facing north and never gets any sunlight, so I wouldn't benefit from solar. I decided to get this lock for a few reasons. My favorite thing about the lock is that it takes AA batteries. This allows you to use rechargeable or regular AA batteries for a quick change. This is great for keeping the electronics working at all times. Some locks only come with 1 rechargeable, and you can't use the keypad when the battery is charging. Personally, I picked up a charger and an 8 pack of rechargeable AA batteries, so I'll always have a set charged and ready. If the batteries do die, I am still able to unlock the door with 1 of the 2 keys that were included. I ordered the matte black finish. This lock feels well-made. The installation guide has step by step directions with photos for a quick and easy install. The user / programming guide shows how to change all of the settings and set codes. I didn't realise how much this lock could do until I read through the programming guide. You can have up to 50 different user codes for people who will use the door often like friends, family, maids, dog walkers, employees, etc. You can also set up to 10 single use codes at a time. This is great for delivery people, repair men, or anyone else who may need to get into your home a single time. There is an auto relock setting that will automatically lock the door after the set time. No more using my key to lock the door when I head out. Now I just tap the lock button. I like that their is an interior idicator light. It illuminates green when the door is unlocked and red when it's locked. Now, you can easily see if the door is locked from a distance. T

I love how secure/heavy duty this keypad is. Such an easier way to have friends/family check on my home - no more trying to pass over a spare key. Easy to install and use. I really trust the brinks brand - another high quality product. Also can't go wrong w a lifetime warranty. I also like the attractive look - nothing too flashy or unappealing in the design.
