The fan has never had the expected performance; does not remove shower steam well at all. The grille never fit snugly against the ceiling (no, not a ceiling issue), so dust collected on the ceiling around the grille. Today, I lowered the grille carefully to clean it and the surrounding ceiling which collects dust that gets through the gap. One spring attachment popped off. I can't get it refastened into the ceiling after 20 min. The installation guide does not indicate how the spring clip should be installed or what keeps it in place. BTW, not my first rodeo. We have five similar fans in our current home and I have been cleaning fan grilles for 35+ years. We are planning another bathroom reno and will NOT be buying a Broan product. Probably will keep/reuse the decades old NuTone fan instead. Learned my lesson; if it works, don't replace it because it looks dated.

Wanted to replace a fan that sounded like a helicopter coming in to land. This fan did the job. Although I had a contractor install the fan, the retrofit was very easy to do. This fan is very quiet which is what I was looking for. Only very minor issue had to do with the cover. It doesn't fit securely on one side of the fan. Checked to make sure the clips were all installed correctly and they are. Just one corner won't snug up against the ceiling. Not a big issue. Would highly recommend this fan.
