Very simple assembly. Sturdy constructed. Because the opening on my fireplace is not equal to the width of the screen, the screen sits about 5 inches away from the brick. It works well enough to keep my dog out of the fireplace, which is why we needed it.

I have been searching for a screen like this. Most of the ones I've seen are way too "decorative" and I just wanted something simple. No trees or bears or wolves or stars. This is well made, very sturdy and easy to assemble.

I have wanted a fireplace screen with doors since my house was built. It’s actually what I asked for, but the metal curtain thing is what we end up with. Fast shipping and all parts and materials are in good shape. The screen was not difficult to assemble. I did not provide a picture of the final product because my fireplace is raised off of the floor, within the wall and does not have the traditional hearth. I am still trying to attach the screen securely as I have a young child and cats. I hope it works though because it looks much better than the metal curtain!

Assembly was easy and self explanatory. Taller than expected but I have an older home so it may be the perfect height for newer homes. I like it overall, it gives my fireplace mantel more character. The doors open to allow access to the fireplace when needed to use. Looks exactly like it’s pictured so no surprises. The legs make it stable so it won’t tumble unless you’re pulling on it. Made of metal and the color is a true black and not the dark brown black! I would recommend for anyone looking for a fireplace cover or decoration to cover an older fireplace that needs a facelift. Priced fair for other items I’ve compared it with.

It worked for us with a little modification. It was actually too wide for our opening, so the back legs were a problem. We cut them off and it works better and now is flat against the opening. The screen says it's for outdoors, but time will tell. It just feels a bit flimsy. When you open the magnetized doors, you have to support the frame or it pulls away. This is fine now but when there's a fire, I'm guessing you'll need a mitt of some sort as I would imagine the handle on the doors will get hot. The handles are on the top of the frame. Looks good and I'll report back after a few rain storms because paint chipped off just from screwing in the feet. It was well packaged and came with all the tools necessary to attach the feet and door pulls. They even included extra screws and nuts!
