The wood finish on this cabinet is terrible. It looks like they possibly tried to wire scrap to given it a unique look, however they utterly failed and it looks like it's been used for 10 years. That said, I was able to sand and clear coat and it then looks great. It says surface mount, however the frame overlaps the cabinet about 3/4", so it is not a full "box" type design. Also, hinges were not centered and I had to rehang to get the door to close without scraping (it was off enough that the hinge adjustment screws were not enough. All said it turned out nice, but a lot more work than it should have been.
