Its good for the price, but I didnt pay attention to materials. I bought the 'gold' colored one, which is actually anodized aluminum in a very yellow color. See photo in daylight compared to a brass rod I had laying around. Being aluminum, it feels really cheap in hand before you attached it, but afterwards you can't really tell its missing the extra weight. If it was a more convincing color I'd give it 5 stars. May work for your application.
