This door bell does not have a transformer as advertised. It does require a transformer. After installing a transformer, the doorbell works fine.

This was listed as a metal door chime, but it is actually plastic. It came damaged so we were not even able to use it, but Wayfair did refund it. It is definitely priced high for something that is plastic.
