I had to return this as well, it was for a system that had multiple shower heads, I just used the one that came with the faucet handle.

I did not know Wayfair sold plumbing rough in and they beat any other price online and in stores!

Worked perfectly for our master shower.

The quality of this cartridge is unbelievably bad. Make it last forever at this price (or serviceable) or make it inexpensive. My shower almost scalds me in the summer and freezes me in the winter. I probably replace the entire unit with something reliable, including labor, for what it’s cost me to replace this twice. I actually had to put the original cartridge I saved back in at one point and adjust the water temp by starving hot or cold at the sink because it was so uncomfortable to shower.
