I have two Moen pulldown kitchen faucets. These came with weights that clamp onto the hose and don't slide. For these to work well the pullout length had to be somewhat short. So I added these sliding weights and moved the clamp-on weights to allow for a much longer pullout. Now I have all the reach I need and the faucets retract smoothly too. Pros: Easy to install, just slip them on to the hose.

The perfect missing piece.

It allows more of the hose to be used. Typical ones have fairly limited useful movement because they are clamped onto the hose. They also hang up on everything under there. Since this one not only slides on the hose but rotates around the plastic insert, it almost never hangs up. I've only had one time where I bought 2 for one faucet, but it works without chaffing the hose braiding. This is a part that probably never seemed to need improvement, that said thank you delta for this gem. I have seen others that attempt the same concept with a sliding weight that goes over the hose. Some use metal for the heft to pull it back in, but I'm concerned over the years it'll chaff. Still others use plastic, no chaffing concerns but they are light for the purpose. Also both will rotate but not as well as this one. Only improvement I could see for the design would be if it could be split to install without removing the hose and still do all this.

I paid a fortune for this lovely faucet to get this with a weight which has a design fault& does not retract. So I have used the weight off from my Kohler faucet on Delta. Its a real shame hope they will listen one Day!!!!!!!
