These are a great product! These ARE adjustable (you have to unscrew the extensions and use the included allen wrench to loosen the handle to adjust). We actually used only the extensions and replaced the actual pull handle with cylindrical acrylic for a transitional look. The full adjusted length IS 4 1/4".

had to return, because the center-to-center is actually 3.5 not 4.25. annoyed because i'm specifically trying to find that center-to-center measurement and i lost out on the shipping fee. too bad, because the hardware itself is nice
