item has been running for a week now and is just bringing the houses humidity back in the normal range...Hopefully this will last a while as the motor is on all the time...There is no cover for the motor either..Makes the unit look unfinished...

I'm reasonably pleased with the humidifier itself and the installation was ok but the float valve is inadequate and continued to leak intermittently. I kept having to turn down the water flow till it was just a trickle (but not too little that it all just dried up) so that the humidifier would stop overflowing. Frustrating!
