This vanity is very sturdy. And unbelievably heavy. I thought the top was not affixed to the base, but I was wrong. The vanity is for the second floor bathroom and it was a bear to get it up the stairs. We had to take it out of the packaging because the packaging was so protective and also so bulky to maneuver at the top of the steps. Once installed, its a really beautiful piece. The drawers are soft close which is a nice feature, particularly with teenagers in the house. It was a bit on the pricier side; however, I think its very well made and will last a long time.
