Design is exactly as we expected and reinforcement on the underside is significantly better than the shower pans from the big box stores that I looked at. Support is very dense so floor should be very solid. I am very happy with this for our new bathroom installation in our basement. This 3 x 6' shower pan is just what we needed for a bathroom renovation to replace an equivalent large jetted bathroom tub that we did not use and make better use of the space. It is a more difficult size to find and we were doing the work ourselves so this product made it easier. The slope to the sides is good so that water drains well back into the pan. The slope make the install of the glass type we chose more difficult as it was hard with the slope to level the metal guide pc. that the moving heavy glass door needs to slide through. The bottom is a bit slippery but also makes it easier to clean. If you have a bottom that is like our last one that has a courser surface it holds dirt and looks dirty easier and requires more elbow grease to clean. I prefer this one. We have a grab bar installed at the opening and for leg shaving etc so not problematic once you know. Would purchase again, well made and liked having the option to get the matte black finish drain to go with the other finishes in the bathroom. I ordered this due to my shower area. It is deep and narrow. I only found 3 in the market that can fit my area. The nice thing about this one is the flanges are attached afterward. I need 2 longs one and this one only come with 2 short and 1 long. But I ordered an addition long one from the manufacture for about $35.
