Purchased this unit and a WAC8003WCO a little over a year ago. Purchased this brand because they were supposed to be quiet. The 8000 BTU unit definitely has been BUT the 12000 BTU unit this season sounds like the fan bearing is shot as it make a hell of a racket at any fan speed. Of course, now that it is out of warranty and we're in the middle of a heat wave, I'm stuck putting up with it. Very disappointed!

I bought this ac last year just before summer. So far I used only for few hours in the total of summer. I liked it’s cooling and it helped me in summer in San Diego coastal area. I hope it will continue to serve me.
