Well it’s designed for the Durvavit toilet and it works well. In short no other seat works better. 

We bought and paid for the soft-close toilet seat. Our contractor installed it and (sadly, although not his fault) threw away the box. Slam! Bang! Slam! We now discover Wayfair erroneously sent us the NON-soft-close toilet seat and we are stuck with it. We feel the need to replace it immediately, so another $110 cost and a brand-new item in a landfill, but I’m not sure I can trust Wayfair to send us the correct seat again, so am now looking for other sellers of the Duravit elongated soft-close loo seat to send us the correct item… :-( I am NOT a happy customer.

Arrived crushed during delivery but the plastic quality should otherwise be good. Shape is unusual and retro. The attachment clips appear to be plastic.
