haven't installed this yet - there were a lot of questions about this item when i first purchased it and hope to answer them now. It comes with a grounded electric plug (which is recommended by the manufacturer as of 3/18) and in the included connection box it does have the option to use four AA batteries instead. You will need to buy a 'mixer' to mix your hot water and cold water lines into one line (faucet only has one intake line option).

Love that the water flow is perfect but it is leaking a tad into the sink, wayfair is sending a new one to replace it. Love their customer service!

This is a cheaply made piece of junk. Dont buy this. Pay more for an American brand. Not UL or CSA approved either. The solenoid leaked and I took it out just after installing it. Not legal for sale in Canada.
