It’s definitely gray, not brown. The finish also looks splotchy and there’s no type of sealant or finish at all. It started to split during install which makes me wonder how long it’s going to hold up.

I intended to use as a shelf. I love it. I was easily able to hang by myself. I did receive the wrong color as I chose a dark finish. It will be easy for me to do myself so I will not return. It’s very nice as it is, it’s very nice craftsmanship

This shelf is a perfect addition to a room. The color is very modern. The size is perfect. You could put on display large objects because of the width. This is the longest shelf I’ve seen so far. The installation was a breeze.

Great mantle but totally the wrong color! It’s bluish grey not dark brown. I used it as a wall shelf for a long wall and fortunately it matched my color scheme. Super easy to install. Lightweight but seems well built.

Well made product that was packaged very well. However the color does not match the item description which listed it as dark brown. The plus side is that it’s real wood and can be stained to desired color.
