We have a large fireplace and this does the trick of enclosing it/keeping the baby away. It is flimsy and light and therefore, in our case, easy to move to constantly get to our stove. I ordered it in July, assembled it, put it in place and left it alone. Now that the weather is cold and we are suing our fireplace, it fell apart after we moved it three times. Plus three stars because it’s the exact size we need. Minus two stars because of its poor quality and construction

We have an unusually large fireplace opening. This works great. We are not using the bar along the top (that locks it into place) and it is sturdy enough to stand on it's own so it covers the opening. We love it.

Incredibly flimsy and poorly designed. The screen panels themselves are well made, but the brackets and connectors do not fit together well and fall apart when you move it...every single time. DO NOT buy this! I'm going to buy another one elsewhere...this one is worthless.

This screen is sturdy, but lightweight for the constant shuffling to keep the wood stove running. It has worked to keep kids and pets out of harm's way. The top connecting piece has been optional for us, as it will stand will without having to use the top rod to connect the two sides. Currently on year 4 with this screen, and very little wear and tear.

Very handy and well constructed.
