I can’t say enough good things about Ekena. Every order has arrived quickly, perfectly packed, and in flawless condition. The quality is so impressive that it pushed me to take on DIY projects I never imagined doing alone. I purchased a mitre saw, nail gun and caulking gun and was ready to go. Honestly, this has gotten so easy that I installed crown molding in my bathroom using leftover scraps in less than 45 minutes one day after work. And, I’m an IT chic who always has her hair and nails done. I’m not a professional contractor. It’s like interior decorating and is so much fun! I began with a small hallway, and once I saw how professional it looked, I kept going — dining room, living room, front hallway, master bedroom. Each space turned out beautifully. Friends and family are stunned when I tell them I installed all the molding myself. I have purchased: crown molding, chair rail molding, wainscot panels, embellishments (a shell to cover a large frame wire from a heavy picture), inside corners, outside corners and lifted paneling that I installed on plain wooden doors for a glow up. Ekena didn’t just sell me molding — they helped me transform my home. Start small and give it a go. I love this company!

I purchased this in eight foot lengths to install all over the house: living room, den, four bedrooms, and hallway. It is beautifully intricate in design and has held up over the years with no cracking or chipping. We painted it a white semi-gloss. My only minor concern is that in the winter it does shrink a bit at the seams, showing gaps. But I think a little white caulk would take care of it. Added plus: we had one wall that was curved. To accommodate the curve, the moulding was cut vertically in multiple spots allowing it to bend for the curve.

Used in combination with several other mouldings for an overall architectural composition. Well-made, exquisitely detailed, and very weather-tolerant (used outside in Maine!)

The moldings were easy to work with and the inside and outside corners made it easy for a beginner to make it look good
