I purchased a pair of these for a window header and had never worked with this material before. It was very easy to work with, the only drawback I would say was the thickness of the item. I knew it's size when I purchased it, but I think I didn't fully comprehend that until it arrived...I think in my mind I anticipated it would like a wood imposture, well it isn't, so get that out of your mind right now! If you want it to look like wood, use wood. I think in the future I wouldn't use this material again, not because it didn't apply beautifully, and paint up perfectly, but simply because I wanted it to look like wood, and it just doesn't. For reference, I applied wood glue to the back, then used a few strategically placed brads to hold it in place while it dried. I used white wood filler to fill the brad holes, sanded that, then caulked around the inside and outside edges very, very carefully so it had a seamless look, spray primed it with Zinsser 12, and painted it with Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel. Looks great.

I missed these products last time and found them through a Google search. Then, I didn't save them to my shopping cart correctly after changing computers. It took me an hour or so to find the products again.
