I love this piece. It really makes my fireplace surround pop.

Although not made of wood (but of polyurethane), this onlay product ended up being used atop a wooden bed crown to create an ambience of Victorian splendor. Gilded and attached to the crown base by means of staples and glue, it is now making an extraordinary statement over our brass bed. Not only is it lightweight (and therefore a real boon for those of us who live in earthquake country), but it is also easy to paint and very easy to mount. I cannot recommend this product highly enough for anyone looking for a spectacular effect but not willing to purchase something heavy or difficult to work with when you have limited space and are concerned about height. Kudos to this company for offering it!
