nicely made polystyrene pieces which are well designed, but require an expert carpenter for a quality installation due to slight variations from piece to piece, injected molded from similar but not identical molds. Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension. Happy with the results but did not save time or expense compared to old fashioned box beam and molding construction.

Poorly designed and poorly produced. You must adhere the "T" , corner, and cross sections first and then cut the cross beams to fit in between these. The problem is that they built the cross beams thicker than the other sections, so they stand proud. At this point there's nothing you can do! You can't sand them aggressively because it's a high-density foam. You then end up trying to use a ton of putty and sand each of the intersections (62 for my ceiling!) many many times to try to get it to look right. In the end it still looks horrible, but you're stuck with it.

I like the beams but they are more work that initially anticipated. The edges don’t always come together exactly so it requires additional sanding and caulking (more so that just doing a coffered ceiling yourself from lumber)
