Tired of going through window units from the home improvement stores, I did a lot of research before this purchase. Better build quality, longer-lasting product. You pay a bit more, but that's fine with me, I'll take longevity over having to replace the a/c too soon! Here in the deep South, with 2-3 weeks of winter, the rest is hot, humid summer & it asks a lot of your a/c to keep you comfortable. I recommend Friedrich to anyone looking for a window a/c.

Exactly what I needed, cool’s area well. Friedrich is excellent quality and should not be one that I replace every season.

Had this unit for almost 2 years, 1st year it was great, but last summer it stopped cooling. Not happy about this since it's new and only gets used in the summer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This AC came packaged very securely. I live in a house with one wall unit in the living room so it’s really hard to cool off the bedrooms. It cools off a medium sized bedroom decently well, but anything larger would be pushing the limits. I love that it has a remote included so you can change it from your bed. It was easy enough to install given my husband is handy, but someone with no knowledge might struggle a little bit.
