This 1-leaf sliding glass barn door is delivered with an easy-to-install ALU100 sliding system. All the sliding doors are 'top hung' which means the door is hung into the top rail with two trolley hangers; all the weight is taken by the rods, making the door more comfortable to move. All our doors are made of toughened/tempered glass. Tempered glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (annealed glass) does. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury. Calculation of the door dimension in relation to the wall opening Add 2" inches to the width, and 1" inch to height, e.g. your wall opening is 30" x 80" inches so your door dimensions should be 32" x 81" inches for a perfect fit. For doors up to 40" wide, the hardware kit includes a 79" track. Doors wider than 40" come with a 98" track. The track can be easily shortened by you to the desired length during installation. Please note that modified items are excluded from exchange. The included screws and dowels are for concrete walls, so if you have other wall conditions, you have to acquire the necessary screws and dowels additionally. Please note that for this model, the door handle hits the wall, which means that the door cannot be opened 100% and will protrude 3" to 4". Please be aware that the glass panel of this door is green-tinted. This door is a custom-made product and not a stock item, therefore it cannot be cancelled or exchanged once it has gone into production.
