13mm locknut of faucet is not threaded, very poor QA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This single handle faucet is gorgeous. We had it installed in our powder room and it sleek and modern looking. Chrome can leave spots if not cleaned with proper cleaning agents but what works for us is vinegar and water solution and dry it thoroughly with a rag. It’s as pretty a faucet can get!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It started with a faucet and morphed into a new vanity, medicine cabinet, removing 2 layers of wallpaper, repainting and new baseboard molding. The faucet is solid and stylish. The drain is metal. The faucet shuts off from any position unlike other single lever styles that need to be centered. The water connections are simple and did not leak. Now the bad. The package does not come with the deck plate to cover a 3 hole vanity which Grohe sells separately. The directions do not include what to do with the black rubber washer that I never used. The directions include only photos that seem to have a 2 piece hold down plate but only one is needed and provided. The fancy 13mm suggested tool is not needed as a 13mm wrench works with a little bodily contortions. No online install videos are provided. The instructions would be better if every part is labeled and cross referenced in the pictures. The aerator should be left off or lightly tightened since it should come off when you flush the lines before use. The most difficult part of the install is the pop up drain rod. Since I had little clearance I had to remove the installed faucet and insert the rod before tightening it down. The limited lift before it hit the back of the vanity made the closing and opening of the drain almost impossible. All in all a fine well built faucet but beware of clearances.
