The wife and I were shopping for a replacement for our 20 year old aluminum ladder, though it is only half this ladder's height. The Hailo 5.5' ladder is light, and the extra depth in the steps are what we were looking for. The width of the ladder is less than a brand America ladder, but the stability and ease to climb is much better. The top step or platform, we use as a paint tray holder. and only a pair of pliers was needed to fit that in place. And I am 6' tall, and on the 3rd step I can easily touch a 10' ceiling. This ladder is not cheap, but this ladder is worth the extra cost. Expect to be using it in 10 years!
