• Single bypass track: two doors can bypass on a single track.
• The singletrack bypass allows your beautiful barn doors to slide bypass with each other on just one track. Step-by-step instructions will be included with fractional measurements and concise word instructions with pictures.
• Specific bolts are required for concrete walls. The hardware package only has lag bolts for wooden walls or drywall. Thinner or thicker doors require the correct length of the hex bolts. Thicker doors also require spacer extensions which will extend the track further from the wall to fit the thicker door. If there is a door trim a thick header board will be needed for the hardware to be attached. There needs to be a clearance between the top of the door to the ceiling for the single-track bypass hardware kit.
• If you have a door trim, please put a header board that is as thick as the trim and then attach the rail to the header board.
• You need to have at least 6" of space between the top of the door to the ceiling to accommodate the hardware.
• Two hangers are used to hold one door. For a single track bypass kit double door kit, there will be four hangers in the package: 2 flat & 2 bent. If you have a door that is either too wide or too heavy, then you can purchase additional hangers for that door.
• IMPORTANT: for a single track bypass system with regular roller designs, there will be an inevitable overlap between the two doors when you slide them apart. The overlap is about 6 1/4”, which would shorten the overall coverage by the two doors. For example, if you have two 40” wide doors, the actual coverage that they can achieve will be 2x40”-6 1/4”=73 3/4”, and not 2x40”=80”. Please take this into account before purchasing!
