I like that is solid wood. However, this does mean you have to fill any imperfections and sand it. One of the horizontal wood boards had a long sliver of a crack. With wood glue and a clamp, it was easily fixed. The glass is all one piece with the horizontal boards overlayed, but it truly does look like 5 separate pieces. I like this design as it feels very solid, no rattling, and good sound dampening. I installed this as a pocket door in the bathroom. It lets in light while being completely opaque, so you cant see the person in the bathroom. The windows are frosted with one side feeling rough and one side feeling smooth, but they look the same. I stained it a dark brown (the picture does not do it justice) and with the oil prep, it took the stain evenly.

Beautiful door love the purchase

Both doors came with smashed panels. I saw they travelled from California to Ontario so not surprised. A lot of hands during that trip. Door has great quality wood though. If the company sold solid doors I would recommend. Wayfair refunded me immediately and didn’t want the damaged doors back.
