Be careful. It worked great for about a year, then it gradually lost heat temperature to like warm. We just learned to live with it and then put our coffee in the microwave to heat it up an extra 30 seconds to the proper temperature. The warranty was only a year and it’s a guarantee that the heating element will fail after that.

Ours is about 5 years old. Now it has stopped dispensing hot water until we’ve had it open for 30-45 seconds. Then it delivers hot water but uneven flow.

This product works well but the tank life is very short. After 3-4 years the tank will leak and unless you regularly check under your sink you will discover water leaking out of the cabinet or the ceiling below. Fortunately we have a liner in the under cabinet that contained the water. This unit is not cheap and would expect much better quality and useful life.

I am on my third one and it failed within 8 months. I had my first one in 19. That lasted almost 3 years. Then we got number 2 that lasted 18 months. Then the last one 8 months. I have the insinkerator filters installed also. What i have found out is that your heating element rusted where it mounts to the flange. All three had the same problem. Plus it tripped my GFCI outlet.

Second tank started leaking last year; have not replaced yet as I am looking at alternatives. I have a whole house filtration system and had my pressure valve replaced. I think the life span is 3-5 years no matter what.
