Beware! This vanity was NOT designed to easily accommodate plumbing. A serious design flaw, in my opinion. We ordered two of these and found that our contractor has to cut openings in the back for the water lines and water outflow pipe. Worse, the cabinet is not designed to accommodate a P-trap! Our contractor has to cut a big notch out of the shelf. Too late to return. Our plumbing is code-standard, nothing unusual. The pictures shown here show a sink but no P-trap. That’s very deceptive, in my opinion. If you want a vanity with a sink, this is not for you. Update: A representative from James Martin tried to defend the design of the vanity. I responded with this: I disagree with you. You say that you provide “all product specifications as well as images” on your site. That is simply not true. In none of those images do you show the plumbing below the sink; you do not show the P-trap or the outflow pipe. In my opinion that is deceptive, if not dishonest, and my review of this vanity that I posted on Wayfair says as much. You also say you “do not provide cutouts on any” of your vanities. But you are referring to the back of the vanity, not the shelf where the P-trap would penetrate. Some of your vanities DO have notches to accommodate the P-trap. Here is a picture of the twisted plumbing our contractor had to concoct in order to avoid cutting through the top shelf of the lower drawer. Notice how much shelf space we lose because of this. I stand by what I say: this is a horribly designed vanity. Whoever designed it should be fired. I am an engineer, and if I designed a vanity like this I would have no clients. I have attached a photo of the convoluted piping our contractor had to devise in order to avoid cutting a notch in the shelf. After my final message to James Martin, I got no response.
