This barn door is one project that is better in theory than in execution. The door arrives in solid white but unfortunately also arrives with multiple imperfections to the wood. If you were planning to not paint the door, you may need to change your plans.

Soooo I think I saw that it was white and assumed it was painted and ready to go, but it does need to be painted. It is primed, but if you look at the closeup you can see it is unfinished. Needs a light sanding and paint. It is beautiful though. I ordered a barn door from Wayfair from a different maker and it came fully boxed, whereas this one came wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic and had boxing only at the top and bottom and was missing the rail to mount it. The first door I ordered was damaged in transit and it didn’t even make it to me before being returned to Wayfair. A couple weeks after I ordered it, I messaged Wayfair and they went ahead and ordered a replacement that was here in 2 days. Always choose Wayfair for their incredible customer service. The door is beautiful and not a farm house type of look like I was worried, it’s more classy and adds a lot of charm and texture. It’s not overly heavy, pretty straightforward to put up.

This barn door kit is great. Very grand and pretty tall. I actually had to add a very inches of height on door frame to make it work Pretty strait forward instructions. I got this to replace a standard door that opened inward which blocked the dryer. The door came super quick and was ready to be painted. This project went quickly with minimal hiccups.

This style bathroom door is simply stunning.. it adds such elegance to the decor simply because its the sliding panel..
