We've been extremely disappointed with our Kohler Archer Bubble Massage Air Bath tub and believe there is a serious design flaw. After using the bathtub for about 6 months, we started to notice a very bad odor coming from the air holes when we would purge it after taking a bath or shower. We tried multiple cleaners and it would decrease the odor for a day or two, then it would return. We called Kohler, who sent out repair people. The blower was replaced twice, and the problem persisted. What we've realized is that the purge function you are supposed to use after using the tub does not clear the air channels of all the water. We realized this because after using the purge button, we decided to try turning on the air jets. When we did that, more water came out. Then as we increased the airflow on the jets, more and more brown water and scum came out. So for 2+ years the purge function didn't do a good job of purging and left water in the air channels to create mold and scum. We spent a lot of money on this tub and expected better from Kohler.
