Decided not to use, poor quality.

I had to replace a valve body because of a seized cartridge. The new valve body is just fine, but - as for others that have left reviews here (and elsewhere online), the hoses provided are poor quality & very hard to install without repeated kinking, which may weaken the internal plastic tubing. Some of the comments that mention the same issue here are pretty old ... @Kohler, if a noticeable number of customers are experiencing this issue, doesn't that suggest that there's an issue with the product that needs to be addressed? Also, I contacted Kohler (by chat) twice to get the dimensions of the host, but didn't receive any other advice (besides the "looping", which doesn't really work) - has anyone come-across any way to use an aftermarket hose (my understanding is that the host dimensions are M10 X 1/4-18 NPSM)?

There is nothing wrong with the new or old hose. I have a lot of Kohler products and I like them, however the faucet I was working on is a bit over 20 years old and a some point Kohler changed the size of the fitting ion the hose. That was not clear from the parts disgram and this is the second time I have run into this issue. In both cases I just put the old hose back on and everything works fine. Now I have two hoses in my spare parts that I will probably never need.

The hose was supplied as part of a warranty retrofit. Faucet itself is fine, The hose is not! It's long enough to fit almost any configuration; that makes sense since the supplier wants to cut costs and not have to provide an exact length for every faucet and application. PROBLEM: if it's too long you have to loop it, and it kinks easily, VERY EASILY. Once kinked it just defaults to that shape no matter what you do. I've tried two hoses; I've tried every-so-gently looping the hose; I've tried different routing. The braided fabric is too weak and lacks the structural integrity to hold its shape to allow water to flow properly. Terrible design and quality, especially to be included with an otherwise great faucet: drags the Overall Rating down to a one because the faucet will not function with this cheap part.. Replaced with after-market braided stainless steel.
