There’s a lot of great features to love with the innate- the auto opening, heated seat, deodorizing, auto flush- all awesome. The pressure of the spray even at the lowest setting is a little intense for us but maybe we’ll get used to it. It was also pretty expensive to get installed by a plumber so factor that in if you’re not doing the work yourself.

This toilet has it all! And looks good installed. All the features work as expected. Three different ways to flush - automatic, by remote or push button on the toilet.

Kohler really dropped the ball with this design. The manual is terrible. It doesn’t tell you all the parts it comes with, it does not describe or identify these parts, and does not tell you all the parts you need. The manual says to install the electric plug to the right and the water connection to the left. However, there is no access hole on the right for the electric cord as there is on the left. This of course would be a non-issue if they allowed this to be hardwired such as their other toilets, but they removed that feature on this model. Now I need to move my electric receptacle to the other side of the toilet. I’ve now priced that even on their website, there is a photo of the toilet with the plug to the left, unlike their install manual. This toilet is HEAVY. If it’s going in a small water closet that is off of a master bathroom, it’s very difficult to get in position while two people hold it (one on each side). The shape is sleek with nothing to hold on to, except two holes on the back of the toilet. You can’t access these holes when you get the toilet in position against the wall. Kohler boasts about their easy trapway mount system which looks like a very easy install. However, after placing it in position, the side holes on the toilet that you screw into the sides of the Trapway to secure the toilet, do not lineup and the toilet remains loose. In addition, their website says, “Patented ReadyLock® installation system eliminates the need to drill into the floor”. This is in contradiction with their manual which says to drill a hole in the floor to secure the back side of the trapway. As long as this toilet has been available, there is not one single video on YouTube that talks about the install. This is ridiculous. Remember when I said they don’t tell you what is included It comes pre installed with a water hose connection. After the install (which was VERY difficult), it turns out the water hose is leaking. So now, it all has to be uninstalled and repaired. One thing that is REALLY frustrating is that after paying 2500 for this toilet, they should have included the required T bolts in 516” (which my local hardware store did not stock) and the TINY Allen wrench needed to fasten the remote control to the mount. They don’t even tell you what size Allen wrench it requires. These both would have cost them about 1. I would NOT recommend buying this toilet. I will say, after speaking with Kohler, they offered to have the toilet repaired and reinstalled under warranty. They have good customer service.

PROs: This is a beautiful, sleek toilet. It has nearly all the features you would want -- seat warmer, front/rear wash, lid and seat open/close, dryer. I also love that it has a nightlight which is great for not waking up your partner during a midnight tinkle. This seemed less expensive than Toto toilets with the same features. CONs: The water pressure is much lower than Toto's that I've used. The dryer is nice, but it doesn't do much and you definitely can't use it in lieu of toilet paper. It has a motion sensor which opens the lid when you approach. However, my small dogs also trigger it, and it scares the living daylight out of them!
