Good idea or product if you can't find the right size

The product photo from Kohler would have you believe that when all is said and done, you’ll have two medicine cabinets joined together with just slightest reveal between them. In reality, you’re going to have 1”+ anodized aluminum space between two larger sections of mirror. One of the other reviewers mentioned this, and instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt, I just assumed they botched the installation. After all, there’s no way Kohler would intentionally misrepresent their own product, right? Wrong. Now, if you’re still considering buying this despite everything I just said above, there’s another caveat you should be aware of. If you’re looking to join a cabinet that has lighting built in to the door with one that doesn’t (like we were), the door thickness differs between these two versions and this joining kit doesn’t solve for that - so be prepared for the doors to live in two different planes.

Matches the cabinet finish and only adds 116 of an inch to the overall width so it was perfect to create a custom width cabinet
