Garbage Disposal

Leaked profusely. Plumber said I shouldn't have purchased a Kraus.

Does what its supposed to, and does it well. It is very quiet, I was shocked to hear how quiet especially when compared to my old one. I highly recommend if youre in the market for a new disposal.

Had for three years. We’ve had it for three years and no problems whatsoever !!

This model of Kraus disposal is quiet as advertised. It's quieter, if you insert the plug/cover into the drain, but that restricts water flow into the disposal. The disposal drain cover comes with a waste pusher, but it only has two flanges, and you have to push the waste down several times. If Kraus designed it as an X flange (4 axes) it would push waste down easier. We also noticed that this 1/2 HP unit has trouble grinding orange or lemon peels, even when cut up into smaller pieces. The unit leaves residue behind in the grinding chamber, and it takes a longish time to grind it down. Perhaps the 3/4 HP unit does better. In our old Insinkerator, grinding citrus peels was not a problem. Overall, it's quiet and easily grinds most waste (although there is always some ground residue left in the grinding chamber). It's the first time we tried a Kraus unit, and would rate it as okay - it gets the job done, but no better than okay. We recommend getting a 3/4 HP unit.

Product has superb quality, all fixtures are included except the soap dispenser. The commercial faucet that came with the sink is excellent and user friendly, the stainless steel grate does an amazing job at protecting the bottom part of the sink from scratches and dents. I wished it came with the soap dispenser, overall I'm happy with the sink, will update my review in 6 months or so to let you know how this product holds up to everyday use.

This is a solid piece. I work in restaurant kitchens and chose this a dish beast. As close to a commercial sink for residential purposes. My only problem is the grate/grid insert is a bit unwieldy to remove for cleaning. It also will not fit in my dishwasher. A 2 section gate/grid insert would be preferable. I'm going to cut mine in half as I don't see another insert that will suit my needs.

Did not know there were 2 knock out holes so it backed up the dishwasher. Well reading directions works. it is a little noisy as well as the start up sound like a hard electric start. Overall satisfied with the device.

Very satisfied with this ultra quiet garbage disposal. Definitely worth it!

I am very happy with this disposal, it was easy to install, works very well, doesn’t clog and it is quiet as far as disposals go. I would absolutely purchase this item again.
