Library ladder here I come. Bought this and an old ladder to make a shabby chic way to access my pantry items

This is a very high quality piece of kit. Building my own ladder (with the help, expertise and tools & equipment of a good friend) was the challenging part (I needed a very tall ladder), but we achieved an excellent result. Attaching the rod, wheels and hooks was easy, once I had carefully measured the height, spacing and clearances. The wheels sun like silk, and the hooks glide up and down smoothly on and along the rod. The product is carefully thought out and well made. NOTE: you have to remove the wheels from the housing to fasten the housing to the ladder. This means that the washers fall out of the assembly on either side of each wheel. Reinstalling the wheels and washers becomes very tricky! The solution is to use a little piece of masking tape to hold the washers in place on each side of the wheels when sliding them into the housing before threading the axle through. Hope this helps! Great product.
