The step stool fit my needs exactly!

Exactly what I was looking for! We are rearranging shelves and this is the perfect solution. It went together easily. We reinforced with gorilla glue and used a rubber mallet to set the pegs. Both unnecessary. Holes were drilled in the proper places and the directions were clear. It is sturdy and it folds easily! Great buy! Delivery was a day early to boot!

The sides the stool come as a single piece with the reinforcement beam already assembled and glued. On one side the beam was not glued on either side which makes the stool unable to bear any weight without getting undone and risking collapsing. Besides this piece should be screwed and not glued as it is essential for the stool to be able to bear any weight. On top of that, the stool is advertised as fully assembled and yet came as a kit to assemble. Flowed design, false advertising and poor quality.

This was not good. The uprights were not drilled for the screws for the cross members and the holes for the dowel pins were drilled completely through the uprights. This was the case for all six. Also the lower dowel pins were not glued or stapled and the assembled side frames came apart when handled. This would cause the step stool to collapse when used. I glued what I could get to and drilled and screwed the front and rear in four places on each side. I also glued plugs in the six dowel holes. It was time consuming, but I wanted a safe inside ladder for my grandkids to be able to access the egress windows in case of emergency from my basement bedroom. I hope you haven’t sent many of these out as they are unsafe.

It has held up, and gets used daily however, it chipped early and is a little unstable on the slate tile. It tries to buck you off if you stand too close to the edge on any of the steps, which, since the steps are narrow, isn’t hard to do. Doesn’t take up much space, though, and you can’t beat that.
