I don’t have a fireplace but wanted a mantle in my living room. The mantle itself is beautiful and crafted well. My only issue was the installation. I did not find the instructions clear and had a difficult time following. I could not get it properly installed and ended up having to brace it underneath with shelf brackets. The top of the mantle is also now full of holes from me trying to stabilize it. In my case it doesn’t matter because it’s so high up. I took off one star for the bad directions.

I love this mantle! It works perfectly in my space. The shipping for this mantle was actually really fast. It came Fedex ground. Also I was really impressed how well this was packaged. It comes encased in a nice amount of foam. Which ensured this mantle getting to me without a scratch! I was a little bit worried about this mantle being chipped because that is always my luck. But nope. It wasn’t thanks to how well this was packaged. And the mantle also comes with a mounting piece on the back and screws. It was very easy to hang up.

I ordered this for my son & his wife for their new 'bar room' in the house they are updating (they are using the former dining room for such!). Instead of using it for a fireplace mantel, he wanted this for shelving in the bar area and it displays part of their collection of lego kits they built together. It really looks awesome and Dan said it was easy to hang up and he didn't need any help. He just made sure to hang it very straight. Looks great, Mom approved!!

Love, Love, Love this mantle for my new fireplace. The quality is great and the color matches my hardwood floors perfectly. Please note it is not charcoal black, the color is dark brown.
