M-Dura Double Widespread Kitchen Faucet without Spout 8285

Have installed about 50 in last 12 months and so far no issues , solid and smooth operation. The patients and staff here can be rough. Also like the clean look and handle ID.

For the most part we were happy with this faucet (a Moen Dura 8285 - used in a light commercial/restaurant application in a secondary sink) until it started constantly dripping. After approximately 5 to 6 years of use we have now noticed corrosion in the hot water side which no amount of calcium/lime remover or new replacement cartridges would correct (which we've been frustratingly working on for the past 2 years). Considering all the other faucets in the kitchen/building are working no problem and the main faucet in our dishwashing area is working fine (for more than 15 years) we suspect this is a manufacturing defect. I have been mostly happy with other Moen commercial faucets we have purchased for our business. I would have expected at least 10 to 15 years (minimum) from a faucet that is branded as "commercial". The overall cost of parts and labour on this single faucet (including now a requirement to replace the entire faucet) is, in a word, shameful.
