Works perfectly. The Moen cartridge is impossible hard to remove especially after years of use. This makes it so much easier and keeps you from damaging the cartridge or control valve. Pros: does what it supposed to Cons: single purpose and can't use anywhere else

price to high for a simple product that you may only use once in a great while

The Moen 104421 cartridge puller isn't compatible with the 1222 cartridge even though it's recommended on the Moen website and listed on the packaging for the puller. The puller pinches a portion of the cartridge located at 12 & 6 o'clock against the valve body. This stops the cartridge from being extracted from the vale body. See Art7's review, he had the same problem. The replacement cartridge came with a plastic tool to twist the old cartridge and therefore breaking it loose from the valve body. There isn't any mention of this tool in the video I watched for this repair. It is however shown in the instructions via a QR code on the packaging for the replacement cartridge. Do not purchase this tool if you are replacing a 1222 cartridge. Also, I've seen two claims from Moen that this tool is stainless steel. I don't believe that this is true because a magnet sticks to it like glue.
