I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the MoenSTo Smart Touchless Single Handle Kitchen Faucet that I purchased four years ago for 700. Initially, the faucet worked well for about two years, but after a power outage, it lost connectivity to Wi-Fi, which I have been unable to restore since. This resulted in the dreaded “yellow blink of death” and I’ve been unable to connect the faucet to the app, leaving me with a non-functional smart faucet. The most frustrating part is the constant battery drain. Without Wi-Fi connectivity, the faucet continues to use power, and I have to replace eight D batteries every single month. At this rate, the ongoing battery replacements are becoming a significant financial burden, especially for a product that was marketed as a smart and convenient solution. I have attempted to resolve the issue by reaching out to Moen’s technical support team, but unfortunately, I’ve received no meaningful assistance. Despite my investment in this product, the issues persist, and I feel that Moen has not addressed critical problems such as the inability to switch to manual mode or improve the connectivity and battery drain. The faucet’s reliance on continuous battery power is a serious concern, as it leaves me without access to water whenever the batteries run out. Additionally, there are other design flaws that make this product frustrating to use. For example, I am unable to get a slow trickle of either hot or cold water, which is crucial for some tasks in the kitchen. Given these ongoing problems and lack of support, I regret investing in this technology and would advise others to avoid it. For a high-end faucet, the MoenSTo Smart Faucet has caused more inconvenience than it has solved, and I am deeply disappointed with its performance and the lack of effective solutions from Moen. The risk of losing access to drinking water due to battery failure or connectivity issues is too great, and I will certainly reconsider purchasing any future Moen smart products. I hope Moen will take this complaint seriously and offer a resolution that addresses both the technical issues and the excessive battery consumption
