[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used these ornamental hinges to replace the existing hardware on an old gate. The hinges themselves were easy to install (you don't need to be especially handy ... good beginner project!), and they securely hold the gate. It has a nice, smooth movement. The downside is that because the gate is old, it takes away from the fresh new hardware! I'm going to be replacing the gate now too, so it can fit with the more elegant look of the replacement hardware! Just in the inital time that the hinges have been installed, the finish has held up nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great hinge for making small shed doors of fence gates. These hinges have square holes setup for carriage bolts for extra theft protection. The coating seems good quality and survived tightening the fasteners without flaking.

My plan is to use these as replacement hinges on a smaller vintage piece of furniture. Just enough to add a little visual interest and functional as well.

The feature of beiing able to pull the pin up and can then remove the gate without taking the hinge off just like a inside house door, Having this feature really worked great on my gate because it gave me enough room when gate was removed to get the riding mower in the back yard you cant go wrong with these hinges very heavy duty
