The exposed portion of this cabinet is set close to the wall. I looked hard for a medicine cabinet where the frame that sits on top of the wall (not the recessed part) is shallow/narrow, so that the mirrored door appears to sit very close to the wall. This mirror does this - this part is only half an inch deep. Also, my mirrored door does not seem curved. The recessed part of the cabinet is 3.5 inches deep, so if your wall is thin like ours, you might have cut into the other side of the wall a bit.
